National FFA Scholarship

According to their website, “FFA scholarships are sponsored by businesses and individuals through the National FFA Foundation and are given for a wide variety of experiences, career goals and higher education plans”

The selection process takes into account the whole student – FFA involvement, work experience, supervised agricultural experience (SAE), community service, leadership skills and academics.

Be a high school senior or currently enrolled in college
Be less than 23 years of age at time of application (February 6)
Be current FFA members unless otherwise stated
Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Must have Social Security Number to claim scholarships
Plan to attend post-secondary school in the U.S.
Be a full-time student
Currently enrolled and actively attending classes
Minimum 12 credit hours if enrolled in a post-secondary institution

For 2019, up to $2.7 million is available for scholarship funding through the various sponsored scholarship awards.

Young Innovators to Watch Scholarship

“The Young Innovators to Watch Scholarship Program awards middle school, high school, and college students for original technology projects, inventions, or discoveries. A group of experts in technology, entrepreneurship, and education judge the submitted works on a well-rounded set of criteria focused on long term viability and social good.

Since its inception in 2014, the program has awarded over 50 scholarships. Winners have gone on to win patents, launch their own companies, gain entrance to the country’s best computer science and engineering degree programs, and forge new business partnerships.”
Who is eligible to apply for the Young Innovators to Watch Scholarship Program?

The award is open to individuals and small teams, ages 13 to 20, that have created an innovative technical or scientific project. Other requirements may be stated on the award website. Projects must be original work, and may have been developed as a result of school, extracurricular, or outside-of-school activities, including hackathons, community events, consulting projects or entrepreneurial activities.

Submission Requirements

All Applicants must submit application materials including the recommendation form by closing date as specified on the web site. To be deemed eligible for award the applicant must meet all eligibility requirements and all Project Submissions must contain the following:

A completed application form.
A picture, video or website of their project to be considered for submission.
If under 18, the applicant (or all underage team members) must obtain and submit a parental/guardian consent form.
Affirmation that the submission does not infringe upon copyright law or the intellectual property of an uncredited party.

A completed recommendation form is optional.

PLEASE NOTE: A video, Photo or website of the functioning project is REQUIRED.

Applicants must submit at least a working prototype (or complete business plan if the product is experiential), but more developed products will be more carefully considered.
What is the value of the Young Innovators to Watch Scholarship Program?

Winners will receive a $1,000 scholarship and be invited to attend all-expense-paid trip for them and one family member to CES 2018 in Las Vegas for an awards ceremony.

Taco Bell Mas Scholarship

IN 2019, TACO BELL FOUNDATION WILL AWARD $4 MILLION IN SCHOLARSHIPS!

Applicants must:
be a legal resident of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia
at least 16 years of age and no older than 24 years of age
located in the United States or D.C.
on track to apply for or currently enrolled in an accredited post-high school/post-secondary educational programs (including accredited two-and four-year colleges, universities, vocational-technical and trade schools).

How to enter:
Create an account and submit a video (2 minutes or less in length) that tells us the story of your life’s passion. It could be a short film, animation or just a simple testimonial. This is not about how well you can make a film – simply show your passion and explain why you should be considered for a Live Más Scholarship.

Scholarships range from $2,500 to $25,000!

These scholarships are renewable!

The Taco Bell Foundation offers a Live Más Scholarship renewal program to continue supporting previous recipients along their educational journeys. Scholarships range from $2,500-$25,000 and will be awarded to previous Live Más Scholarship recipients who can clearly explain through a 2-minute video how they have furthered the pursuit of their passion since first winning a Live Más Scholarship.

UNL Raise Me Scholarships

RaiseMe is a program that allows students who participate in the free/reduced lunch program, or attend key partner schools, to start earning micro-scholarships from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln for their academic and extracurricular achievements. As a high school counselor, you can sign up for a free Educator Account and track your students’ progress online.

Our Director of Admissions, Abby Freeman, created an informational RaiseMe presentation for high school counselors to learn more about how RaiseMe promotes college-going behavior, student eligibility requirements and how to create an Educator account to track student’s RaiseMe earnings. CollegeXpress Scholarship

CollegeXpress is a college search website that helps support students and parents who are going through the admissions process. CollegeXpress has given away almost $1 million in scholarships, and every year is another $10,000.

Students can apply to the CollegeXpress $10,000 Scholarship by registering on this site.

To be eligible, you must attend one of our College Xpress’ member schools as a freshman or transfer during the fall of the same year. There are lots of fantastic member schools including Brown, Cornell, Colby, NYU, The University of Alabama, University of Chicago, and many, many more!

The Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship committee wants to know your plan to avoid the zombies, where you’d hide, and the top-five things you’d bring to stay alive.

We’re giving one successful survivor $2,000 towards his or her college education. Do you think you have what it takes to make the cut?

Applicants must:
Be thirteen (13) years of age or older at the time of application
Be legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia
Be currently enrolled (or enroll no later than the fall of 2024) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education

Submit an online written response to the question:
“Imagine that your high school or college has been overrun with zombies. Your math professor, the cafeteria ladies, and even your best friend have all joined the walking dead. Flesh out a plan to avoid the zombies, including where you’d hide and the top-five things you’d bring to stay alive.” (250 words or less)

The Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship winner will be notified by email or phone on or around January 31, 2019.

Scholarship Points Scholarship

ScholarshipPoints offers one of our most popular programs for students: the ScholarshipPoints Scholarship. This $10,000 scholarship is a fantastic opportunity is offered on a monthly basis throughout the year, so you can apply often!

To be eligible for the ScholarshipPoints program, you must be very interested in continuing your education (whether you are a high school, college, or community college student). So whether you are a prospective PhD in English Literature, studying art at a community college, or a sophomore economics major, you can certainly apply.

U.S. Bank Scholarship

One $20,000 Financial Genius Scholarship will be awarded. Additional prizes are available at $10,000 and $5,000. All awards are provided on a one-time basis and are non-renewable.

Recipients: Six awards offered annually.

The U.S. Bank has sole responsibility for selecting the recipients and all decisions by the U.S. Bank are final. The applicant must be enrolled in school by September. It is the recipient’s obligation to inform U.S. Bank which school he/she will be attending and about any changes in circumstance that would render the recipient ineligible to claim the scholarship award.
