Seniors interested in attending the University of Nebraska Kearney are invited to participate in a “Loper” Day visit. Scheduled visits include: October 8, November 15, February 7, and April 24. However, individual tours and appointments can be made two weeks in advance.
UNK is also hosting a Health Career Fair on October 12th with several professional schools in attendance. If you are interested in pursuing a medical career or a career in the allied health professions, you might want to attend. Professional schools usually attending are the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Creighton University, and programs within those colleges. The goal is to inform students of the required courses needed to be accepted into a program such as physical therapy, nursing, nutrition, physicians assistant, and many others.
The UNK Industrial Distribution Program is hosting a Fall 2011 Career Event, with the hope of encouraging students to pursue an Industrial Distribution major. The October 13th event includes:
7:30 a.m. Showcase of ID Student Internships / Breakfast
9:00 a.m. Industrial Distribution Career Fair
12:00-12:45 Lunch in the Nebraska Student Union Market@27th
12:15 p.m. Interviews with prospective companies
12:45 p.m. “So What Is Taught to a UNK Industrial Distribution Student?”
2:00 p.m. Company Conducted Interviews
