Actuary Scholarship

Two $4,000 scholarships will be awarded to students intending to major in actuarial science. Each scholarship is payable in four equal installments of $1,000 per semester over the course of academic years 2011-2012 and 2012-2013. In addition, one $1,000 scholarship will be awarded for the academic year 2011-2012, payable in two installments of $500 per semester.

Students must be entering a college or university as a freshman in the fall of 2011. The $4,000 scholarships are funded by the Nebraska Insurance Federation and will be awarded to students entering the University of Nebraska at one of its three campuses in Lincoln, Omaha, or Kearney. The $1,000 scholarship is funded by the Nebraska Actuaries Club and will be awarded to a student entering any college or university in the state of Nebraska. Each scholarship is open to students graduating from any U.S. high school. Students must major in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics with an interest in pursuing an actuarial career.
